Collin County Farm Museum Weekend Site Manager Reports to: Director Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM March-June and September-October Pay: $8 per hour Position overview: Provides staff presence and security at the Collin County Farm Museum on weekend days, provides support services for weekend volunteers, housekeeping and vehicle maintenance duties.
Responsibilities: 1. Day to day operations 2. Insure security, safety, and cleanliness of facility 3. Implement public programs (Scouts, FFA, church groups, City Parks and Rec. Dept programs) 4. Work with NTHC Curators 5. Work with Myers Park staff and the county to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship
Specific duties: • Opens and closes museum grounds and selected outbuildings • Maintains cash box • Cleans agricultural equipment and facility as needed • Freshens and stocks public restrooms prior to open hours • Walking security checks of museum grounds and structures • Files day and incident reports as necessary • Other duties as assigned

Position Title: Weekend Museum Assistant
Position Overview: The person operates the North Texas History Center on weekends. This position is a part time position. The hours are 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturdays and 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM on selected Sundays.
Requirements: Successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work with the public and volunteers, have basic computer skills (MS Office), basic cash handling skills, and the ability to learn quickly.
Responsibilities This person will open and close the museum on weekends, work with volunteers and/or other staff during weekends, collect admission and museum shop revenue, conduct light housekeeping, and provide administrative support for all departments.
Specific Duties 1. Open and close the museum on Saturdays and Sundays, unlocking and locking doors, turning the security system off and on, turning lights and HVAC system on and of, collecting admission fees, and operating the Museum Shop.
2. Keep track of weekend volunteer hours and track visitor attendance. 3. Light Housekeeping. Cleaning on weekends includes: sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning museum case glass, cleaning the bathrooms, dusting, etc. 4. Other Duties & Responsibilities as assigned. This is a particularly important part of the job description. As visitation is often light, weekend staff will be assigned various tasks such as database updating, folding and stuffing mailings, conducting research, scanning photographs from our collection, etc
Salary & Benefits: The hourly rate is $8.00. There are no benefits to the part time position.
